The Philtrum piercing, also known as the Medusa, is located in the concaved center of the upper lip, the “Cupids Bow”. We have commonly perform these as single piercings, although, we have seen clients double or even triple up! -With the anatomical space, of course. They are such an amazing placement for a piercing. The “center piece”, if you will.

Alternatives: A nice alternative to the Philtrum is a Vertical Philtrum that features a duo bead, gems, or spikes rather than a single point. One can also recommend the Septum as a different “centered” piercing.
